The house was quiet, giving me a chance to go through the mail, most of it junk.
One letter did catch my eye.

I waited till he was out of sight before going back in the house.

I sat down at my desk with my coffee and lit up a cigarette.
“Looks like you two worked things out yesterday.” Jackie stated.
